San Francisco, CA - Airbnb, the online vacation rental marketplace, has announced that it will be rebranding to AirbnFee. The change comes right as semi-local summer travel in the US is rebounding with a frenzy. AirbnFee Brian Chesky announced the change in a company blog post, saying

"Airbnb has come a long ways over the last decade. We've had to reinvent ourselves time and time again. As we move past the pandemic and further into a new decade, we felt it was time to evolve our image and brand again around transparency. Fees are a central part of the AirbnFee experience and we want to ensure our company name reflects that."

Customers reacted positively to the change. Jeff M., a long-time Airbnb user, said "Yeah that sounds about right" when asked about the change. Another longtime Airbnb user, Charlotte K., said "Awesome. I love that they are finally being authentic to themselves."
